Every act carries within it both darkness and light, happiness and sadness, beauty and ugliness. Appreciating this contradictory reality requires a perspective shift.
Surviving suicide, be it in thoughts or actions is about surviving a past which has already happened. We need to share the new joyous headlines with our desperate inner child who is lost in time: Hope is found! Hope is found! I care about you! I don't want to let you die. Our Muse knows about us! Our Muse cares about us!!!!
And here we have the key. Would you not love and cherish a baby or child in so much pain that it wants to die? Will you let it take its life? Will you not love your own inner child? It's time to return the Love. We must say:
I love you, my poor, desperate inner child. Thank you for caring so much for me. But I cannot let you do it. I am grown up now. I no longer remember what brought you to be so desperate. But I am listening. You are no longer alone. Together we become what is worth living for. What is worth loving for.
