One might assume that when we are wealthy or famous or both, that we
have found our calling or that we have the power and the freedom to
follow our true direction.
Life Purpose and Direction
If this were true, then it would be a given that people with money, fame and
power are happier and more fulfilled than all of the struggling masses of
survivors and dream chasers out there.
Unfortunately, privileged people are not necessarily happier than even the poorest
or most miserable people.
As we fortunate ones already know or will eventually find out, wealth, freedom
and power can actually complicate the process of fulfilling our life’s purpose or
finding our true direction.
•
Is there such a thing as a life purpose?
•
•
Are we really destined to uniquely fulfill some role here on Earth before we pass on?
•
•
What is our true direction?
•
•
How do we know when we are on the right path?
•
•
These are the ideas that we will concentrate on.
The musing process is an exciting revelatory process where we pay attention to how we
FEEL about these questions and the actions or our lives.
Life Purpose and Direction
Within our hearts there is a harmonious RIGHT feeling and we feel good and
connected with life. This good feeling is the experience of our own personal
truths.
And within our same omniscient heart there is a pre-written WRONG which
feels discordant, like a musical instrument out of tune. When we feel this
way we are off track and our experience is not in harmony with our truths.
We will concentrate on when we feel Right or Wrong.
Imagine that the world is filled with a cacophony of
sounds, and there are so many blaring, simultaneous
sounds, that we feel overwhelmed and confused as to
which ones to listen to.
First, we must expose ourselves to these sounds.
People, places, things, situations, all of these things are
a kind of music. Often this exposure requires that we
move outside of our comfort zones or move towards or
into that which we customarily avoid.

Life Purpose and Direction
Next, we pay attention to how we FEEL. As if we have a harp in
our hearts, do we feel harmonious and cordant as we experience
the notes of our new experience? Or do we feel discordant and off
beat as if we are out of resonance with our life at that moment?
Last: repeat. When we courageously move forward with our Muse,
and when we welcome all of the wonderful and often sad feelings
which are generated by all of our LISTENING, we grow towards
our true purpose and direction. And the closer we get to our
destination the more we desire it and the better we get at it.
If we were ever going to become addicted to anything, let it be the
joy of searching for and following our true purpose and direction.
