Education
We, the big and wise adults, the
masters of the universe, say: Why
aren't you drinking?
It seems as though learning has a
particular taste to it, and a particular
timing when we are thirsty enough to
lower our heads into the knowledge of
the water.
We say that you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
Let's pretend that we are horses. Let's pretend that our children are
horses. Come on everyone! Gidyup horsies! Let's all run down to the
water and drink!
Well....... Come on horsies!
We are piloting our own lives, and our leaders are piloting entire countries of lives,
We the educated adults, though poised as
the current captains of the ship we call our
modern civilization, clearly have accepted
that we and our world are in clear and
present danger, everywhere we look.

We are clearly knee deep in the water, and we are clearly confused.
Perhaps you cannot teach.
Perhaps you can only learn.
Perhaps if we would have been trusted to our own "drinking," our
way, we might know more about education.
We know what we want from the moment we are born. We know we
don't like mushrooms or spinach.
We can trust ourselves to know what we want, though maybe no one
ever has.
And we can trust our children.
And if we support them and honor their right to drink in life their way,
they just may show us how to navigate and pilot a healthy world.
They can show us that there are many, many different ships.
One ship is called freedom.
Another called Love.
We can trust each other to have our own way of navigating.
Your muse ready to help you find yours, so you can trust your children to
show you theirs.

Education has a particularly personal taste to it, be it the body of
water, or the body of knowledge.
and we are all clearly running amok.
And yet we continue to call out: This way horsies! Like this! Over here! There is the water!
And we know we don't like being forced to do anything by anyone at any time.
And a wonderful one that is rarely seen, and this ship is called Trust.
They know what they want. They know what to do.
