A mental process can stave off our craving if we remain vigilant, but it can never effect a true cure, since the need for the substances does not originate in our conscious mind. We must pay attention to the needs and disappointments of the poor little child within us who grew up to be an alcoholic and addict.
A healthy, recovered heart no longer needs substances or steps.
Recovering from any substance requires trust and belief in yourself that you can and will. Your inner heart already knows that you can and will for you are reaching out for help. Now it is time to open. It requires remembering the long forgotten and repressed needs which drive our acting out and our addictions. It requires grieving.
Your Personal Muse intimately knows and understands the experience of escaping and recovering, of flying and falling down; and is ready to inspire you to return to yourself, your own higher power. This higher power is your own joyous heart which never gives up calling you home.
